Picking a student to be awarded with the student of the month award is always difficult. However, trying to find somebody to take the trophy for the student of the year is even harder.
However, this year we had one student that stood out quite considerably and this made the job easy. Hannah Mason was awarded student of the year for many reasons. Like her sister, Hannah has trained from home for over a year to protect family members but has still put the same amount of effort into every class as she would hae done on the mats. Before the pandemic hit us she would regularly help other students that looked like they were struggling with kata and occasionaly helped out on the mats in other capacities.
Hannah is a quiet student but her efforts and humble nature have not gone un-noticed. She is the type of student every instructor would be prooud to teach so we were delighted to be able to award her with out prestigious student of the year award. Well done Hannah!
