Chuldow Rothwell offer professional martial arts tuition to anybody from age 4 to adult. Our classes are age specific meaning as a child gets older the classes become more demanding and appropriate to their abilities and level of learning. We are fully inclusive and have been endorsed by Scope, which is something we’re very proud of.
We are a family run academy teaching both Karate and Kickboxing in a self contained, air conditioned and fully matted facility right in the heart of Rothwell.
We also offer every potential new student x2 free classes so you are able to try martial arts without it even costing you a penny.
Our mini ninja classes are designed to be lots of fun for your little ones. These classes introduce younger children to discipline, listening skills, focus and of course everything you would expect from karate.
Our junior dragons classes take children from age 7 to 12 years old. Whilst these classes are still lots of fun, we begin to focus a little more on techniques, terminology and discipline.
Our high grade karate classes are designed to be intense, fun and disciplined. Anybody aged 13+ are eligable to join these classes and younger high grade students are invited at the discretion of the instructors.
Our Junior kickboxing classes are very popular indeed. These classes feature lots of pad work, drills, sparring and fitness. Students always leave these classes sweaty and with smiles upon their faces
These classes are very popular with older teenagers and adults. Fitness and sparring is ramped up a little more in these sessions and everybody who attends leaves feeling they have had a good work out.
A kickboxing class for ladies only. Ever fancied martial arts but never had the confidence? then this may be the class for you.
"My son started learning karate just under a year ago. He loves the classes! He has not only learned many skills but his confidence has improved greatly. The classes are very well tailored for the appropriate age group to keep kids motivated, learn some great skills for life and also to have fun. The virtual classes have been just as great. The content, structure and one to one feedback have meant my son has been able to carry on learning and progressing even when not being in a face to face session. He is just as excited to go to his weekly classes now as he was when he first started and that's down to the dedication of the teaching team. Thank you Mr Abad and Mrs DA!"
"My 5 year old has been coming for about 4 months now, and is absolutely loving it. We chose to come to Chuldow Rothwell based on several good recommendations from other friends. The teachers are so friendly, encouraging, and absolutely spot on with the kids. The atmosphere of the classes feels very inclusive and the combination of fun, fitness, skills and a warm welcome is just perfect. Big thumbs up from us!"
"Absolutely brilliant Academy. My 2 children joined first (aged 9 and 11). Both are now Black Belts. I joined having taken them and seen first hand the excellent coaching and how much they enjoyed it. Great for fitness, making new friends and developing skills and confidence. A truly inspiring place."
"My daughter joined simply because her friend was attending and we think it's important for her to experience a variety of activities. The first two sessions were free as a taster. She loves going and we enjoy watching. I'm very impressed how the instructors interact with the children. There is a lot going on, and as much as there is fun to be had there is also discipline which is also a valuable lesson. It's a really friendly atmosphere and the children all leave with smiles having had a good workout. It's been a year and a half since Charlotte joined and I'm pleased to say that she still loves her classes and I've caught her practising at home when she thinks no-one is looking. I think all the instructors are fantastic and they really do take the time to make sure the children know what they are doing and put them at ease in the process. I highly recommend Chuldow and with the first two lessons free with no obligation then why wouldn't you give your kids the opportunity."
"Absolutely love this place, it's a friendly welcoming place unlike some places we have tried which were quite clicky, the instructors are great with the kids giving them lots of praise and encouragement, my daughter enjoys coming and will hopefully want to still keep coming for many more years."
"My son started at Chuldow age 5 last year and he absolutely loves it. There are so many positives to him attending, for listening, fitness, resilience. the teachers are so kind, attentive but firm and I think the approach and way they talk to the children and the way skills are taught is fantastic. I would highly recommend to anyone."
