CHULDOW ROTHWELL FIRE EVACUATION PLAN
All new visitors to Chuldow Rothwell to be instructed as to what to do in the event of a fire, all existing students to be reminded on a monthly basis. Practice drills to be undertaken.
On discover of fire/potential fire risk
On discovery of fire (or potential risk of fire) all adults and children to make their way to the main gate via main (only) entrance.
Programme Director – contact emergency services, take register and gate keys and make way to the main gate (which is to be opened to allow easier access for both parents/children leaving site and emergency vehicles)
Chief Instructor – to check office, training area and toilets to ensure all visitors have vacated the building and be last to leave. (if safe to do so, fire extinguisher to be use, this is located on shelf unit at end of training area)
Once building vacated, register is to be taken, all parents/carers to ensure own child with them. Any child without parent/carer to be responsibility of programme director until parents are located.
